About Me
Youmi Suk
I’m an Assistant Professor of Applied Statistics at Teachers College, Columbia University. I’m also a member of the Data Science Institute (DSI) at Columbia University. I work at the intersection of data science and education. In my research, I look at developing and applying quantitative methods to address practical and important problems in the educational, social, and behavioral sciences. Specifically, my research areas include causal machine learning, quasi-experimental designs, multilevel modeling, optimal treatment regimes, and algorithmic fairness.
My research and teaching have been supported by National Science Foundation (NSF), American Educational Research Association (AERA), and School of Education Teaching Innovation Grant at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
